Hi, I'm Rebecca, an HCI researcher with a PhD and a passion for the science of behavior change.
I recently completed my PhD in HCI at the University of California Santa Cruz. My research focused on how the design of interactive technologies can help people reflect, change their behaviors, and deal with difficult emotions. I like to combine aspects of computer science, psychology, and design to develop technologies that address complex intrapersonal and social issues. In particular, I am interested in how technology can promote open-mindedness and self-efficacy.
Besides research, I love to hike, cook good food, and travel unreasonable distances for a good cup of coffee.
